More control over your projects starts with Engine 2.1.2

We’re back with another update and there’s quite a bit to share this time! Engine 2.1.2 brings 55 improvements and fixes, including a few changes we’re particularly happy to get into your hands.

First, you can now protect important projects from being accidentally stopped, deleted, or redeployed through API or MCP tokens. If an AI agent or integration tries to perform one of these actions, Engine simply refuses the request.

We’ve also added the option to limit tokens to specific projects. So, for example, if you want an AI agent to manage two projects on your server, you can give it access to just those two. It won’t see the others and it won’t be able to change project limits or remove suspensions either.

And one more feature we’re glad to have in place: automatic disk usage checks every 15 minutes. Engine now collects this information in the background so you can check how much storage your projects are using without having to run a fresh measurement yourself.

Of course, that’s not everything we managed to fit into version 2.1.2. There are plenty of other improvements and fixes across Engine, and you can find them all in the full changelog. We’re also making progress on full compatibility between the new Engine and our Control Panel. We know quite many of you are waiting for that and we’re working hard to get it ready.

In the meantime, we’d love to hear how things are going if you’ve already tried the new Engine. Anything you’d like us to improve or add? Drop a comment below or join our Discord. We’re reading!
