Our brand-new project: Single Server edition has officially entered beta, introducing a more direct way to run WordPress, built entirely around your own VPS!
With this release, we’re stepping away from the layered, dependency-heavy approach that has come to define much of WordPress hosting. Instead, Single Server gives you a fully self-hosted environment with complete control over your infrastructure, your data, and your costs - without vendor lock-in or additional SaaS layers. Plus, it’s entirely free for self-use!
That alone changes the entry point. Running WordPress on your own infrastructure is no longer something reserved for advanced setups or larger teams. Single Server makes it a realistic option for freelancers, developers, and smaller teams who want more control, without taking on extra complexity (or extra costs).
The model is simple in structure, but fully featured in practice:
- Your own WordPress environment running on a single VPS
- No reliance on legacy panels or external platforms
- Built-in migrations with instant preview before DNS changes
- Tools designed specifically for WordPress workflows
- Easy collaboration with developers and designers
- A Docker-based engine focused on solid performance
Now that the beta is live, we’d love to see how Single Server performs in your hands. Deploy it on your own server, bring in a real project, and push it as far as you can. Your feedback will shape what comes next!
