🔥 Roadmap update 2nd December

We have recently finished a pretty solid stability update (1.1.6 with Diagnostic Mode) followed by another small update with hotfixes last week for some of our clients who decided to launch PanelAlpha and required urgent assistance.

Now it is time for us to move forward with some more core features improvements to the system and currently we plan to add:

  • More logs in the Admin/Client Area for instances: WP Error Logs, PHP Logs, Webservers
  • WithoutDNS integration - our own project that we’re launching on 11th December, allowing you to preview sites on the server without the need of changing the DNS server. It is a great solution for migrations, so your customers won’t need to change their hostname files. We will have an extra interface for this in the client area panel. (more info at https://withoutdns.com )
  • Better Support For Large Instances - some of our clients decided to put large instances e.g. 200gb disk space or 1m+ files which turned out to be challenging for our scripts, especially backups and staging features that just don’t work with the regular zipping even on powerful servers. We want to optimize it and already have a few ideas how to achieve it.
  • Native stats integration - our Matomo integration is overcomplicated to click it through and we want a bit more native integration. Our system already synchronizes all the logs from the connected servers, we need a better way to use this data to present all the reports in the panel.

On top of that, we are still preparing:

  • File Manager
  • Background Billing functionality

Both of them should be ready in Jan/Feb, they are a bit more complicated so we’ll need more time to finish and test.

Please also note that I am intesively working now to enlarge our dev team so we can move faster with features such as PanelAlpha Engine, Vulnerability Scanner and overall system stability and testing. :muscle:

Background Billing Functionality:
That would be great, as it keeps the user in one login dashboard through background billing. However, does it still require WHMCS?

File Manager:
Will it also be available in WPCLOUD?

Yes, we will be not handling any invoicing in PanelAlpha. Although, the customer will have to go through the full registration/invoicing process only when they decide to pay for the first time. Later, they will have a list of invoices in PanelAlpha and only go to WHMCS to pay their bills.

It is possible because WP Cloud does provide SFTP but we need a bit more time to test it and make sure it will be safe.
