Want to move your WordPress site away from managed hosting? The migration itself shouldn’t be what stops you. That’s one of the things we’re making easier with PanelAlpha Engine 2.2.0, and we’re really happy to finally get this release into your hands!
You can now bring an existing WordPress site to your own VPS, keeping its files, database and domain. Just connect it using your wp-admin credentials or install our migration plugin, and Engine will handle the import. You can even check whether the site is ready to move before starting.
And once it’s there, your AI assistant can manage plugins, themes, updates, users, cache and more through MCP. These WordPress operations are also available through the API and CLI, including for WordPress running in containers.
There’s plenty happening outside WordPress as well. We’ve added better CPU and memory monitoring, automatic webhook setup for GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket, more Cloudflare management options and a number of improvements to staging, deployments, security and reliability.
We’ve picked out the highlights in our release notes, but if you don’t want to miss a thing, the full changelog has you covered, as always.
